| FAKE SKIPPING ROPE |
DESCRIPTION: FAKE BLUE SKIPPING ROPES
The Smurfette is real but these stiff blue Skipping Ropes which have been added to the
authentic Smurfette have been proven to be absolute fakes. Suspicions arose when
these recently started appearing on Ebay in huge quantites, and also due to the fact that
the Blue Rope was so unlike the regular authentic White Rope variations.
Recent experiments involving cutting the Blue Rope revealed that it is infact an Electrical
Copper Wire which would seem highly unlikely that they would be used as part of a
children's toy, when better and more suitable alternatives would be a more logical choice.
Another give away was the fact that if you look very closely at the Blue Rope, the well
known manufacturer's name "Cabelte" appears on the blue exterior which would never
happen with authentic smurfs unless they were Promo Smurfs, in which case the name
or logo would be an obvious feature of the Smurf's appearance.
Therefore these are 100% fake and although they are still nice to have in a collection, I
hope caution is taken to not waste good money on these fradulent pieces as they should
be regarded as almost worthless pieces, especially since there is no shortage of
availability.
